I started this year halfway through promoting my latest album, Adam Wayne.

Have you listened to Adam Wayne?

  • Yes

  • Not yet...

It ended up being my most “successful” project I’ve made. I’m very proud of the thought, effort, energy, friends (who somehow haven’t asked me for compensation despite me always asking them for beats for years now… I swear I’m so lucky), and everyone who spun the album. It was the longest period of time I’ve spent working on a project before (a little under a year and a half or so).

Besides my album dropping (which is a BIG preposition) I ended up having many opportunities to do really cool stuff that’s forced me to be grateful for what I’m doing and what I’ve done.

Things I Accomplished in 2022:

  • Graduated from UMSL

  • Graduated from MVSTERCAMP

  • Performed at Music at the Intersection Festival

  • Performed a URL set with Meat Bog

  • Competed in Fresh Produce

  • WEBSITE BABYYYYY

This list is crazy but so was this year…. even writing that out felt unreal.

If you haven't seen my set at Music at the Intersection you can watch the full thing here:

I performed 3 songs from Adam Wayne and 3 unreleased songs from my upcoming project.

On a more serious note,

I talk to my partner a lot about social media and about how much I hate it. In order to make music nowadays you HAVE to be active on all platforms, all the time. Which, personally sounds awful. I basically dropped my album then allowed myself to stop using all my socials as much as possible.

Even writing this feels trite.

The nice thing about taking a step back was that it gave me clarity about what I want to say next. I started making songs with friends immediately after Adam Wayne, which eventually helped me create my next album.

I started making beats in 2020, and since then I’ve been honing in on my sampling skills. The majority of this upcoming album is produced by me and when I listen back to it I feel... proud.

I’m nervous, ecstatic, scared, excited, and the entire spectrum of other feelings that accompany a release.

Overall though I cant wait.. I’ll share more details as it comes closer to the project dropping.

But for now, thank you. And if you read all my blabbering, thank you for actually taking the time to care.
